Picked up God of War Ragnarok, though I don't feel like it was that great of a deal. Most of the sales pricing is pretty meh IMO.

Does GOG ever match Steam sales? I'd love to grab Cyberpunk, but I somehow already have the expansion/extra content in GOG for it already - though not the base game yet.

They usually have them a couple weeks before the steam sales, but they can also have them the same time. GOG will have a huge banner at the top of their page with the sale, and the background color of the site also changes from white to a darker color.

rdr has already been on 20% off three or more times but not even below 39.99 euros,It's always 20% off and they won't sell it for, say, 20 euros.

Picked up Final Fantasy V (Pixel Remaster), SpiritFarer, and ChronoTrigger. Likely will pick up another title or two (most of the titles on my wishlist are on sale).

Friendly reminder that major Steam Sales like these are a good time to pick up games , often lower profile or indie titles, that only sell on Steam directly! There are great "legit keysellers" like Humble Store, GreenManGaming, Fanatical and others that can equal or beat certain titles sold directly on Steam IF the game is also available there. Using IsThereAnyDeal or the excellent and open source https://augmentedsteam.com/ browser addon is a good way to check prices and trends on many of these sites. This is not a perfect utility though as for instance A) at least last I cheked it didn't align pricing to user-specific discounts like GMG's experience levels (bronze, silver, gold) or the stacking additional discount on Humble Store if you have Humble Choice B) it covers many but not all 'legit keysellers'. It purposefully excludes the 'marketplaces' that tend to be shadier, as well as sites that require VPNs and activation from certain locales etc. They are leaning toward the side of caution but that does mean a couple of sites that are reliable aren't listed.

So with that in mind, check a potential deal on Steam directly against if its also commonly available on ITAD-listed sites. Its often beneficial to pick up titles that are exclusive to Steam "first" , as the big seasonal sales are some of the few times these games are heavily discounted. I'll come back with some suggestions later...

They will, you just have to be patient. RDR2 and GTAV were the same way. I guarantee you GTA VI will be the same way if not worse. Rockstar sets the pricing for their games, not Steam.

Same reason that Indiana Jones hasn't fallen below $55.99 USD (20% off). The larger publishers like Sony are bad for this, too.

In general, don't expect deep discounts on new-ish games from the big publishers for at least 6 months to (more likely) a year or more. And it's not Valve's fault - they can't just offer up the games for 50% off during their big Steam sales even if they wanted to.

$1.99 for each battlefield is wild. Perfect time to start playing BF4, BF1 or BFV again.

I just jumped back on BF4 this week. It's been so long and damn does it still look good! 200+ FPS with everything cranked on 32:9 is epic fun. Plenty of servers up and running too.

Yep, I still play BF4 myself. :D. It's awesome even after all this time.

I know, it will probably be cheaper after 1 year or more, I followed that RDR, and it was also on sale on Epic, but also 39.99...but I have a bunch of games that I haven't even started anyway.
Also this CoD series, always terribly expensive, I guess I played CoD 2 or something like that, I haven't played them practically at all but let's say this CoD 2 from 2005 is still 19.99eur and now on sale for 14.99

Bought Mass Effect 2 for 7.49EUR, supposedly a very good game with very good reviews.

You could of bought the Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which has all 3 games remastered and all the DLC's for cheaper than the base game of ME:2.

Yeah, I got this on sale at the same price on Feb 7th just to play on my newly acquired Steam Deck while I was traveling. It plays great on there too mostly at 60 fps, but I lock it to 40hz to save battery while mobile. Haven't played through the trilogy since they launched, so its been great to replay it and remember why it was so great.

Swordhaven is current favorite and Warhammer Rogue Trader along with Kingdomcome Deliverance 2 with South of Midnight comes out I suspect I'll like that game and Pantheon Rise of the Fallen has been on Steam since December.
Wartales is great fun as well different type of turn based game. Trying to escape the FPS paradigm. Gord is a cool game too if I can figure it out.

Doom 2016 at $2 is a steal. The arcade mode has me going back again and again to best myself. Far cry from that Doom Eternal platformer debacle (my opinion) they passed off as a shooter.
