Steam 2013 Winter sale is here! runs from December 19th to January 2nd.

damn...missed the 2nd go-around of Skyrim Legendary Edition for $20. It was $20 when I got on this morning, and then I got busy and forgot about it.

Oh-well...I have plenty of games to play...I'll continue to wait.

Morrowind GOTY edition is very tempting at $4.99

Funny, I've been watching for that and haven't seen it below 50%/$9.99... Damn you Steam, why do I always miss the ones I want @ 75% off?!

Still $20.39 on Amazon

Just grabbed Wargame: European Escalation for $1.99 ($19.99 - 90% discount)

Looks like a fun RTS, 81/100 on Metacritic, for $2 how bad could it be

Damn, this "snow" game looks pretty damn decent. An open world ski/snow boarding game, graphics don'tlook bad and gameplay looks fun. Hope it wins.

But of course since it's the game I want to win it now won't, just like Brothers, Deadly Premonition, etc.

Outdated and invalidated by AirLand Battle which is the only one anyone plays. Lots of issues with the first one too, just got AirLand Battle myself and it seems improved so far (but very similar, a lot of the same issues it seems).

You may want to keep your eye on this one as well, then.

That's one genre that's clearly lacking on PC...the only other one I can recall in recent memory was the Shaun White game, and it was supposed to be pretty lackluster.

Hope it doesn't win. It's discounting early access to a Free to Play game, that IMHO shouldn't even be listed on a steam sale, even more so a flash timed sale for an even greater discount. The early access is suppose to helping fund the development so they really shouldn't be discounting that much.

A user review from a month ago says that the game doesn't even have sound or snow effects. :(

I don't know if those have been added by now or not, but as much as I like boarding/skiing games I cannot vote for this game and I will not pay for a game in such an incomplete state. I really have mixed feelings about all of this Early Access stuff. On one hand, it might help fund good games that otherwise would have stalled out, and often the community has input that can help shape and mold the game...but on the other hand, you could pay for something that's forever in alpha or beta state. It makes me wish that Early Access games had mandatory demos, but I can see why that could be a bad idea too. Had I not read the reviews for Snow, I wouldn't have known that it was so incomplete. I definitely encourage anyone looking at Early Access purchases to read the user reviews and the discussion boards so you can gauge how complete or incomplete the game is.

On an unrelated note, I didn't know that Steam had a billiards game. Since Snow is currently incomplete and a NASCAR game isn't exactly on my most wanted list, I voted for the pool game.

The damage so far :

World of Goo
Fable - Lost Chapters
Oblivion GOTY
Star Wars - Knights of the Old Republic II
The Dark Eye - Chains of Satinav

All this for under 20 bucks... Think I'm done for the rest of the sale...

The description says "SNOW is the upcoming free-to-play open world winter sports game ..."

Yes it's free to play, when it's done in about 6 months.

However you can help fund it, get to play it today and not wait 6 months to play it an dget exclusive things, etc.

I have no qualms about helping fund a fun looking game while gettin ga few things and getting access to play it much earlier.

Well, looks like Snow won the community vote. So maybe this will bring attention to it and more people will fund it. I foresee a lot of pissed off gamers, but if they just looked at the screenshots and didn't research further then I guess it's their fault.

Brothers and Dust are on the daily deals today. Buy them both folks. Gunpoint is a flash sale, also buy that.

Deadpool is $10. If you're a fan of the character and enjoy DMC/GOW style hack n slash action games go for it.

Still haven't bought any games yet....

I would like to pitch a idea for a killer indi game I would like to make but no idea where to start.... Hell I had hard enough time creating one comic book then a videogame.

finally brothers is on sale yay.

Though the other games, haven't these already been on a daily deal? I coulda swore Godus/Garry's mod/Saint's row had.

Now to just hope Deadly Premonition is on one and I think tkhat's about all the games I'm interested int his year.

So far I got:
The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav
Memoria (the sequel to The Dark Eye)
Contagion (thank you comppro2k7)
Shelter
Deus Ex: HR director's cut
Brothers
Snow

Deadly Premonition is on sale for $10 on GOG.com if you don't mind having a non-Steam version. I'm hoping Namco actually puts Naruto: UNS3 on sale on Steam instead of being dicks and only lowering the price on their site like they did for the last sale.

Edit: Oh look.....It's on sale on NamcoBandai's site right now....Fuck it. Buying it.

Glad they fixed the prices; they were horrible at first.

I might pick up Dust and Brothers; already had Gunpoint. Curious about Deadpool. It looks cool but I'm more into Batman style gameplay than GOW.

Evoland looks like a really neat concept as far as unlocking graphic and gameplay upgrades along the way (I love how it appears to go from monochrome 2D Gameboy graphics to colorful 32-bit 3D during the course of the game). They say it's not a particularly lengthy game, so at $2.49 it might be worth a try.

Locked at 30fps.
Just so you know.

Considering the risk of holding an empty bag, plus the fact that Early Access actually means "playtesting and bug fixing for free", its fucking ridiculous that these titles are sold for fully inflated prices at all.

Finally got Brothers (and Dust). Even though Amazon has been sold out for a couple of days, they lowered their price to $4.49 to match Steam's.

Dust is a great game...y'all should enjoy it. Make sure you have a controller though, makes things a little easier. Also, play on the toughest difficulty level. The other levels are a little too weak in my opinion. Dust is one of the few games on Steam I played until I got 100% of the achievements.

I just picked up Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons and Sim City 4 (have the CD version, but sick of hearing it spin while I'm playing).

That's the worst excuse I've ever heard lol...

He isn't alone, I HATE having discs spinning/outside noise when I'm playing games or watching movies, etc.

One of the main reasons I always build my pc's to be super quiet with the cooling/fans I put in them.

Deadpool is actually hilarious, but those interested are better off getting it at Gamefly with the 20% off coupon.

I also got Enslaved from the Namco store; I don't ever remember seeing it that cheap.

Currently waiting for Castle of Illusion and Ridge Racer Unbounded to possibly hit the flash sale.

OP here I posted the daily deals for December 29th and 30th on the main thread. Looks like tons of repeat from preview days.
