Do any of you guys have a problem with shocking your macbook pro? I've shocked mine quite a few times now... hopefully it's not hurting anything. The aluminum case looks so nice.. but damn, it hurts. Perhaps I need to quit wearing socks around the house.

I usually get shocks around the edges of the trackpad.

Annoying as hell, but other than that it doesn't bother me (I'm also an Electrician ;) )

You get a lot fewer shocks if you use the 3-prong (grounded) adapter to plug into the wall. IMHO it's just sloppy design, but there's nothing you can do about it. I've called Apple support and this is what they've told me (use 3-prong, unless injured nothing they'll do)

Even with the 3 pronged plug, I still get shocked all the time...

A lot of houses have 3-socket outlets installed but no ground wire connected to the round hole. So, you think you're grounded when using the 3-prong cord but you're really not.

Naw, I'm grounded. I live in an apartment building that was put up two years ago.

I would assume, that if I'm at a higher voltage potential than the laptop its self... I'd get a shock.
