I currently have a Samsung 275T 27" monitor. I am considering getting a 34" ultra wide (probably acer predator x34p when it comes out).

I have a sit stand desk and I'd like to mount my old monitor as a heads up display that is mounted to the desk.

This so far is the closest I cold come up with but they list <24" on the specs.

Ergotron 45-248-026 LX Dual Monitor Arm, Stacking

One of the big problems with all of the gaming monitors is that they don't have PIP inputs. I like to watch TV sometimes while I game etc. I figure it would be nice to keep my current monitor as a heads up display for this, or netflix, twitch, youtube etc.

Here is a pic of my setup

So HUD means you don't need to look down at instrumentation to get your info, you get to keep your head 'up' where it's already at... doesn't mean you look up.

This would probably do what you want. You didn't say you had to have the 34" on an arm, but you can add another pole mount arm, just don't know that they sell them without the pole.

That is actually the arm ergotron recommends for the x34, so I'll keep that in mind.

Something tells me doibg what I'm after without some diy.

I might have to come up with another idea...
