SR-2 STACKER

Cheers all

Well i just turned the standard 6 drive bays into 4 to allow the two radiators to mount below in a separate little rad box.

Sounds easy..........well it was really but i had to be double sure of all measurements while cutting down the original drive cage and also while folding the new rad box as 1mm out and it would throw the entire chassis out but luckily my measuring skills didn't let me down and everything lines up perfect and square :)

I'm trying to get everything finished so i can go about stripping it all down and getting it to powder coat by Friday.

Still a canny way to go but i just thought i’d show you this nice neat little hose routing from top to bottom of the chassis which turned out pretty good and a few other random shots of where things are at the end of the day

Got all the chassis back from powder coaters at lunch time today in totally flawless Carbon Black to match the Carbon Bitspower fittings and set about getting it built back up which is the bit i like best seeing it all come together.

Anyway, my life is currently on hold until i get this complete as it starts its journey to Germany for CeBit on the 22nd so best get my skates on

I don't know if possible, or even efficient, but if you could get some nickel plated copper pipes in place of that plastic tubing that runs along the outside....that would look pretty bad ass.

I bet the plastic will look pretty cool with some liquid in it.

I really like what you've done! What is your main goal for this system? Are you choosing water cooling for the quietness or the overclock potential?

I'm a bit thrown off by the dual-cpu and 3x GFX... is it for some kind of distributed computing/HPC ?

Needless to say you are creating something beautiful! :D

This is such a well executed mod that it looks professional. The workmanship is exceptional.

This is like the Bugatti Veyron of PC's. There's a radiator for just about everything!

:D

Got the top hand made bezel fitted to the top chassis with the power / reset and LEDs all mounted and grill installed.

Best part of the day though was hose routing both the motherboard / RAM loop and the CPU loop - both turned out really well considering the amount of hose involved so only the GPU loop to do which is pretty straight forward but still waiting on cards to turn up  but apart from that, i seem to be making good progress :)

:D

I got to give my friends at EVGA a massive shout for getting me some graphics cards out at such short notice

They are the EVGA GeForce GTX 480 Hydro Copper FTW which fill up the SR-2 board real nice.

I'm just not sure if the Coolermaster 1200 PSU will be able to handle all four cards and as the chassis needs to be starting it journey to CeBit this weekend i simply won't have time to test so not sure what to do for the best.

I think the best thing to do is install them all and sort it out when it gets back home as it won’t be running anything on the booth, just sitting there looking pretty.

Looks very nice though

I think I've drooled more watching the progress of this project than I have over dancers at a topless bar.

Awesome build. Very impressive. :)

probably one of the most creative and most well done case mods Ive seen here! Great job. Keep up the good work!

Showing off pictures like that are just not fair and I'm certain it's against the law in the lower 48;)

(curled on floor in fetal position weeping and speechless due to the awesomeness of this build)

Heeheeeeee, love it:D

I'm guessing Bitspower has a secret!

With a bit of luck i should get the cards all plumbed in and get the system fired up tomorrow but for now just some random pictures :)
