A while back I wrote a simple batch file that uses those two commands. Since Sp2 came out they have not worked. Of course like a moron I did not even think of testing this batch file out...
Anyhow both of those commands give me "RPC server is unavailable". I made sure both RPC services are started, and I turned the firewall off and it still does not work. I tried to start the DCOM Server Process Launcher (after I started just about every damn service I could start) and it says that it is unable to start. I think it might be related.
This problem exists on every SP2 system we have (26 systems).
Any ideas?
