sound card question

ok so I have an x-fi xtremegamer card but also have a corsair hs1 headset which hooks via usb. Is there anyway I can use the processing of the card and output to the headset?

no i believe you have to choose one or the other. if you had the HS1A (mini-jack version of the HS1) you could use the processing of your sound card.

Nope, but it seems odd you would want to. Corsair probably has a better sense how to process sound for their headset than Creative does (and if you listen without any applied effects the two cards are equivalent. really.).

the corsair isnt a soundcard, its a headset with a software program.

Sell your HS1, get an HS1a.
