2 lessons to be learned here:

    1. don't be a pedo
    2. don't show your sister your porn collection kiddie or otherwise

if you are this specific guy, rip out your vocal cords and chop off your fingers... then you can't say or type squat...

Other than being a mind reader, the judge can't prove the defendant has a piece of information in his brain. He could prove he once had it, but not that he currently does. Especially if it is a 60 random character password.

Judge's don't have to prove anything. One is in contempt of court or one is not, and the Judge has the absolute unquestioned authority to determine which. How can you not understand this?

I get that you must think it's wrong, or unfair, but how is it you choose to live in denial of fact ?

I'm not denying it's possible, I'm disgusted it is.

"You must remember what I want you to remember!'
"I'm sorry, I just can't. It's impossible for me to remember something so complex."
    "Contempt, jail!"

I'm still wondering what makes a man's own sister testify against him?

What did this accused pedo do to her? or her children ?

I thought blood was supposed to be thicker than water hum ????

I mean it's not like anyone else would have known and she was caught out and had to answer truthfully, I mean who else would have known that he showed her these pics?

It would seem that she volunteered this testimony of what must have been a rather private screening of his collection.

It could be because they are bickering over inheritance and she made it all up. It could be that he uses a new terribly complex password regulary that he has to read it of a piece of paper prior to use.

I don't think the complexity of his password has anything to do with why his Sister squealed on him. What I do think is that in your effort to protect this man's 5th Amendment rights and defend his position, you completely ignore everything else.

His sister must be mad about something unrelated, the Judge must not have a clue and can't possibly be making a reasonable call given the evidence and testimony, the prosecution can't have enough other evidence to make the Judge's contempt charge a correct and proper use of Judicial Power.

It seems to me that in this case, hell, in every case, you feel the 5th is an inviolate shield that can never under any circumstances be breached.

I think you are wrong and it doesn't look like you are going to see my point of view so further discussion is just boring the shit out of already bored people.
