Sony Xperia Z2 tablet--No wifi

The wife's Z2 tablet was having problems when it would start freezing when playing her facebook slot games. So i decided to remove the games and let her reinstall them. Never had any problems until this for the past week or two. I removed the games and now the tablet wont pickup the wifi signal. Never had this problem w/ any of the same model Z2 tablet (sgp561) except this one. But when i placed a sim card in it, I can use cellular.

Any suggestions or remedies of what maybe causing this problem? Going to sell it since cellular usage is not what we want.
