The 360 was also out an entire year before the PS3. No way you can definitely say it lost in the US based on price. Many people buy what their friends have, and having a year head start to build that user base only caused it to expand exponentially and pull in potential PS3 buyers before that user base could develop.It didn't sell that well. It lost that generation to the 360 in the states at least cause of it.
I’m not saying price didn’t play a factor, but I wouldn’t say it was clearly THE factor either. It ended up “winning” in sales globally anyway.
