Holy cow, Sony's 2014 breach is the gift that keeps on giving (to cybercrooks). Every time you think you've heard the last of it, another news story like this pops up.

Security firm BAE Systems' analysis of the malware used in the $81m cyber theft from Bangladesh Bank in March has turned up links to the tools used in the 2014 attack on Sony Pictures. BAE published its analysis on Friday shortly after payment network SWIFT announced that a second unnamed banking customer had been hit with malware to compromise the bank's use of the SWIFT messaging system.

Time to eye up north Korea. Would make sense as they are breaking financially.

Yeah, it does seem someone is out there heavily embedded in a few financial areas.

My wife works at a relatively high end financial firm that she uses SWIFT at I believe, I really hadn't asked her much about it yet.

I know she did mention something a few weeks ago about someone trying to sneak a large bogus transaction (millions) that they picked up on.
