Some help with wake on LAN please!

I am having some trouble getting my box to wake on LAN. The box that i am trying to get this to work on has an integrated NIC so i made sure that it was enabled in my bios and everything looks good but i dont know what else i need to do to get it to work. One of my friends told me that different boards/NICs require different means to get the computer to boot ive tried to ping it to wake it and ive also tried sending a request to run RDC but neither were successful

Any help would be greatly appreciated

You need to send it a "special packet" to wake it, I suggest you do some research on how WOL works.

i needed software

I got a program called Magic Packet created by AMD which simply request the MAC addy of the computer that you are trying to wake and then broadcasts the packet with the wakeup frame in it which was the key to getting it to work
