I had an audigy 2 installed in my PC, but I sold it, so I need to use the onboard sound. I've got a ASUS p5W DH deluxe, and a week ago the onboard sound was working, but I put my old audigy 2 in it to test it. Now I need to use the onboard sound again until I get a new soundcard, but It won't work. Ive uninstalled the creative drivers, but is there something else I need to do to get the sound working?? Thanks!

yeah I thought that could be it, but I just checked it and it is enabled.

it was jealous that you put a better sound card in your pc?

no seriously, check your device manager see if its disabled in there maybe?

Go to the BIOS and disable it, boot into windows, reboot, go to BIOS and enable it and boot into windows again and see what happens.

control panel, sounds and audui devices, audio tab, check sound playback device.

Thanks so much, great idea, it worked. I had to disable it, uninstall realtek drivers, enable it, install realtek drivers. yay
