Our call center has two monitors that display 3 windows: a log, our call queue, and powerpoint slides. Before all we had to do was lock the PC at night and when I'd come in the morning, unlock and my windows would stay in tact. Someone felt that things shouldn't be so easy for me and in the event I'm absent, they would have to reboot the PC in order to login... which is inconvenient for them the <1% of the time I'm on PTO... So now when I come in, I get to log into the workstation, then fiddle with all the windows until everything fits just perfectly. This logging in/out process probably wont be changed any time soon, so I'm wondering if there's a program/script out there that can first open applications (already have a batch file in place for this), and/or arrange them accordingly.
