Hi all, slowly working down to a maximum of two machines, so a few need to go.
This combo is an Intel E5-2687W* (cough spicy) that has been running Linux for a couple of years. No overclock (not possible without silliness), watercooled but keeping the block. It's in an Asrock X79 Extreme6 motherboard, and I can toss in 16Gb of super*talent DDR-3 1600 if you would like.
I have to say up front that this chip will not play nice with patched up to date Windows 7 or 8. I can load the OS, but if I let it update it will not boot. Mint / Ubuntu / forget what else has been used all run great.
It will ship in the original MB box, chip in the socket (unless preferred otherwise).
Asking $600 for the lot, the [H]orde gets first shot, I will ask more later on the muggle boards. (I will fix the badge as soon as HardFolding comes back up, if it doesn't autocorrect)
