So what were the initial RX480 clocks?

When it was first announced the RX480 could do ~5Tflops, but it ended up at 5.8 Tflops (which is closer to 6Tflops)

It seems that AMD upped the clocks a bit hence the bigger power draw and higher temps.
 
probably the 5tflops are based on the base clock which is 1120mhz.

Araxie is likely correct. I'm too lazy to do the math. But initial leaks pegged the card at 1080/1266, not 1120/1266, and that may have played a part. It SEEMS like AMD was still playing with the clocks the last few weeks to get the card where they want it.
