Yeah but they most likely aren't available. You need to check availability for each area.

As of tonight I've only found i5-2400 & i5-3330 & i7-3820 avail in Chicago

Only thing near me is the 2600k for $165 at Sunnyvale, CA. I'm glad I don't need it because I'd be tempted.

I'm not sure that is such a great deal unless you don't have a MC near you. for +$30, I'd rather get the full featureset of the E3-1230v2.

YMMV of course...

I'm still debating getting the I5-2400. .

Pros: I have a "spare" mATX board with an i3-2100 sitting around. Motherboard has a vt-d option greyed out in the bios
Cons: I'm not currently USING the spare mATX board/combo :)

Unfortunately, the MC in Santa Clara, CA closed down last year. It was a sad day.

That sucks, sorry :(

They announced their Milwaukee intentions quite some time ago....but I haven't heard anything since.

2500k display model disappeared while I was checking out :(

Still got an i5-2450p for $75 though. Thanks OP!

2600k for $165 is pretty solid. Also noticed h100 for $39.99 after rebate while I was looking around the site. Link

I have been out of spec-ing CPU's for some time. I have an i5-2400 available nearby. How good of a deal is it? I don't need a new CPU, but my Q6700 is getting a bit long in the tooth.

Q6700 < SB ~ Haswell

and it is a smoking hot deal... 2400s went for wut... $200 before they went out of prod ?? if you can snag one, I would.

Only the K's are overclockable, though. Keep that in mind. It is still fast as hell and really excels in single threaded performance... My wife has a 2400 in her PC and does her well. (cwutididthere)

I'm considering the 2500k, but not really sure it's a worthwhile venture from my 1055t. I primarily edit video with my system, not much gaming. but it's tempting!

Anyone have a Fry's with a i5-2450p available, willing to help a fellow [H]'er?

I would, but I can't find any of these processors at either of the Phoenix locations.

I was going to swap out one of my i3 machines with either of the i5's but no luck.
