SMF forums idea

ok so im running a forum based of simple machines forums- 2.0
and we are wanting to setup another set of boards
currently based like this: categorieX: board x: child boards
any way, it looks like this right now
Category A:
Main Board:
Child Boards: A,b,c,d,
and so on

Then we have Category B
Main Board:
Main board 2

is there a way we can completely hide these from guests?
we are wanting to do something like this:

We're gonna need two things to start off with:

CatergoryA (Invisible to guests)
CategoryB(Visible to guests)

Catergory C: ( Visible to Guests)
Site Board (for site discussion and announcments)
Offtopic (For whatever needs to be talked about)
Artwork Board (for all forms of media; Drawing, Videos, and the like)
Games Board (For video game stuff)
Help Board (For Help. should be near the top of the board.)
Personal Board (For making a detailed page about yourself, the other people on the site can get to know you better)

i should've also clarified that the invisble boards, it would be great if they could be only accesed by a certain group of people...

I'm pretty sure that you can. I know you can at least with phpBB.

yeah, knew you could with phpBB, but having so much time and stuff on SMF, i hate to even consider changing over
