As we discussed in https://hardforum.com/threads/single-32gb-ddr4-sodimm-where-are-they.1919332/ there are no single unregistered 32GB DDR4 SODIMM modules so you'd need two slots. Nowadays with most machines having soldered down memory, slots are rare and so yes, you'd need to look at the business laptop lines of Lenovo, HP etc

The smallest I am aware of with two slots is the HP Pavilion x360 13t. I personally wouldn't buy a HP over a ThinkPad just because of an inch but that's personal taste.

The best I am aware of is the ThinkPad Retro, a modified T470 coming this October.
