I'm trying to prepare a quote for a client on a video kiosk that will be playing back 4K video 24-7. I've only had a chance to test using an older i5 Intel NUC which work but at 70% CPU usage and 80C+ temps don't think it represents a viable solution.

Can any video hardware experts suggest a better alternative?
    Needs to be Windows10 based.

Depending on how old the NUC was and what player/OS it was using you may be able to get significant upgrades out of a newer NUC.

Do you happen to know what kind of file type, and media player you were using on it? Also remember that NUCs use mobile silicon which is rated for 100C operating temp for the lifetime of the product. They are also used as digital signage all over the world already even in extreme environments like Australia where ambient can reach 50C.
