SLI boot up creates fan noise on second card

Hi, whenever I boot up, my second sli card is reved up to 100% fan speed, this is the case until it enters windows. Is there any way to make it not do that. It's alot of noise.

My mobo is a P6t Deluxe V2 and the cards are 8800gt

not really, the fan is running at full speed before the driver kicks it down to variable speed. you could put a new heatsink on it?
