Skyrim Mods - A Comprehensive List & User Support Thread

Anyone know of any mods or programs that will let you build/rebuild a save game?

I am rebuilding my system and have decided to do a wipe of my now 3ish year old Skyrim install. The issue being that I really do not want to replay some of the quest lines for the 10th time (Main, most of the guilds etc) , however I have had so many mods installed throughout my current saves that I expect they will be buggy as hell if I try to use them on a new install.

Is there anyway of doing this outside of build a. bat file using the setstage console commands?

Really? Can't we leave this at 4Chan where it probably came from. Disgusting.

Anyway, don't know if this has been posted yet or not but I think it should have been.

Your sense of humor seems off. That video was funny because it was so disturbing. I mean who the hell actually decided to have to mod that type of shit into Skyrim?

I'm surprised how well that was actually done with the train. Although they should have changed the name as well. I really hope someone is gonna make a doge mod. I would love to be a doge in Skyrim :D

Something needs to be funny because it's funny if it's going to be that damned long.

You don't have to watch all of it. The humor is there, only some people will continue to find it funny for the entire length though.

Sorry I must be getting old. I just don't find the humor in a bunch of zombies gang raping a woman or beastialitey porn that funny anymore.

I'm guessing this isn't going to be updated anymore/very much. Anyways, for anyone starting off I would suggest checking out http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9. It's a pretty good guide and not too hard to follow. Even if you aren't using the STEP guide make sure to check out the http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/1334/?. It creates a virtual folder and uses symlink to mod Skryim so your vanilla game folder is never altered(Except for ENB and SKSE). Gopher also just started making videos on it.

I just picked up skyrim during the GMG sale, never played it before. Can anyone recommend some graphic mods? There's just so much! I figured it would be easier to ask for some opinions rather than take a shit load of time to look them all up individually and compare. So far I'll definitely check out realistic water 2. I'm not looking for any mods to really change gameplay from the vanilla version, unless it's highly recommended to somewhat fix a buggy/broken feature. Any input would be appreciated! Rig in sig.

If youve never played it before I would recommend at least one speed playthrough for the 1st time with NO MODS!

I would agree with this, at least the main quest line and maybe one of the guilds. However at a minimum I'd suggest some graphics mods, 2k skyrim etc. At the very least it will make you appreciate what mods will do for TES:V Skyrim.

I used to do this :p. But I don't have enough free time for gaming anymore, so I only play thru single player games once these days. I much prefer enhancing the graphics for my playthru, low quality textures kinda annoy me :p

Yeah, I'm probably done updating the list due to a few reasons:
1. Barely any suggestions to add mods to it so I was spending too much time looking for mods to keep it updated.

2. I'm not sure if many people bothered to check it out since I've seen so many repeats (such as STEP).

3. Post size limitations.

4. There are much better lists out there, like GEMS and STEP, even though this list was never meant to be on par with them anyway.

I still follow your guide. I played stock skyrim last year and right now I reinstalled it and began light modding. I played a bit, installed few mods, played some more installed few more mods, etc. So far I have a stable game but its starting to eat up my vram. Ill post what mods I have when I get home, maybe you can give me some tips.

Has anybody found a mod that fixes the top-heaviness of items when you pick them up? It irks the crap outta me that every time I pick up an item to move it, it immediately flips upside down.

I asked Steve Jobs the same thing and I was told I was "holdig it wrong" :)
