i am about to build a new system and it will be my first time using SATA 150's. When loading Windows i hear that in the pre install when it asks you to hit either F5 or F8 to install raid or scssi drivers that you have to hit that to install SATA drives because windows will not support them.

What do i have to do when installing windows with my SATA drives?

It's actually F6. Just make sure you have drivers for your SATA 150 controller on a floppy or any other device that your workstations BIOS will access as drive a:.

You probably should do more reading before you build. As mentioned, it's F6. Also, if your not running a RAID, or just using a single drive.....and you have a board with an Intel Chipset board, you don't need to load drivers.

In many cases (intel and nforce among others), onboard SATA will work without any effort on your part (unless you are doing raid).
