ah yes it's in NA East 1 (unfortunately? i'm thinking it's highly populated)

I should be up-to-date on friend requests, i only have catsun, krazen, voodoochicken, and aforceninja added as friends (as far as i can tell), though. please let me know if you haven't received a friend request and for the aforementioned ladies and/or gentlemen let me know if you have not received an invite to the region, yet.

plenty of room in that region guys, there's 16 total cities available.

again this is for NA East 1 2[H]4U region
 
Resource city - best way to $$$.

My metal city is making around 1.3 mil per day

Agreed, but base resources (coal, ore, etc) are dirt cheap, you're better off holding off mining and just importing to create the more expensive stuff

Coal+Ore=Alloy

4k+5k(+manufacturing costs)= 48k!

TVs are going for almost 200k per 10k right now.

I think i'll kill off my mining, import ore + coal and build TV's.
 
I havent quit my city, but I wanted to start it over and I guess thats impossible. You CANT destroy and have a "start over" on your area. I guess I understand that but I still think it sucks.
 
So....I bulldozed my city but of course it thinks its still running so now Im broke.
If anyone wants to send Kitty Kitty a gift of money so I can start over that would be great. I dont want to just leave it and start another section of the map.
 
Im happy for you, thats not my situation though. I have no money...bonds ect are gone because of bulldozing area. Game is on pause due to this...is there any way to get it going again?...I thought I could gift it money but thats only city to city in a region, not my other city in another region. Any ideas?

I dont want to abandon the area.
 
So this is an interesting situation. My options in game are....turn off buildings, pass bond, start a new city or raise taxes. Because the city has been dozed I cant turn off or raise taxes. Because I took all the bonds out before I cant do that now so the only option is start a new city, which I dont want to do, I want to work on the one I have. This all happened because after learning how to run the game properly on another region I wanted to do over this city.

Are you in the 2[H]U region? If so I should be able to assist. There's some infrastructure stuff I can lend as well (ambulance, police, fire)
 
I think I may just hold off starting a city in the [H] region until the issues are patched, TBH. I've tried several cities and they all just tend to hit a bug wall after a while and start to spiral.
 
I can't get into NA East 1, keeps saying full. Is that current population, or is it full as in never accepting new users?
 
I'm in the 2H40 region with plenty of coal being mined. City name is Hard Merchandise.

I started a new region on the Antarctica server last night named [H]ardRegion Antarctica since NA East 1 is so difficult to get into most days.

Add me (voodoochicken24) and I'll invite you to the region. I'll probably be on around 9-10pm EST tonight. I can probably remote into my computer during the day to get you in as well if you let me know in the forums.

If anyone has spare room for another, as I want to start joining a multiplayer server for the upcoming challenges:

Purpose of city: Right now, no clue. I pretty much make them self sustainable tourist traps while trying to unlock everything. (I do stay away from crime and things like casinos though).
 
we started a new region on the antarctica server. us east 1 is always so overloaded.. can't ever seem to get online. i'll send some invites when i get home tonight if anybody wants one. i'm tacos4me on origin.

i will say too, it doesn't really matter what you decide to 'specialize' in for your city. nothing works properly. sims don't commute to neighboring cities as they should. buying/selling services doesn't work 90% of the time (depending on server load). chat still doesn't work. the list goes on.

i was having a power crunch last night after building my mining facilities. not much room left to add more wind power.. okay, check the region view. over 100mw available in region. great! clicked buy, went back to my city. 12 game hours later, no power from neighbor, and my citizens are not pleased. guess i'll destroy half my city to build a power plant now. like wtf? :rolleyes:
 
that was probably due to my insane expansion. I'm around 160k people now. should be some to spare now though :D
 
I'm already starting to research most of the university stuff in HardForum Antarctica.
