I RMA'd a power supply and they mistakenly sent this back. They are now telling me to discard it since they don't care about me shipping it back. What is it? I posted in here because it has SATA ports, but I honestly can't find anything from googling.

SATA backplane of some kind. Probably meant to be installed behind a drive tray set for hot-swap.

Are there connectors on the back to hook up to an HBA card?

It looks more like some kind of motherboard expansion card or daughter board. A backplane would have a power connector next to each of the sata connectors. Also, the capacitors would have to be on the other side so the drives could plug in. Would need to see the back of the board to know if it can be used by anything other than their specific motherboard.

the side he posted is the side where the sata cable goes from motherboard to backplane, the other side will have the SATA data and SATA power connectors to either the hard drive or to a caddy.

It is a backplane for Silverstone DS380 case i think.

Instead of it going to waste or in the trash, I'd sell it to someone who can use it ;)
