what slot do i need the ram to be dual channel

I have 2 sticks of 256 pc2100

Yes it utlilizes dual channel and it helps the most if your using onboard graphics. You'll have to put the ram in either slot 1 & 2 or slot 1 & 3 depending on whats more stable for you.
