FrozenCPU has got something made to take out the ATX connector pins but alas.....it can probly be found elsewhere for about 1/4 of the price. Just like everything else they've got. ;)

hahaha... ya that is so true :D ... but i have the molex tool, i just dont have the one for the 12v and 20 pin connectors... thats a different tool thats like $17  ... but its looking very good so far so i think itll be worth it :p

Haha here's my 9500 pro O/C'd to 395/300

Good stuff.

I'll have some updates in a week or so when my Giant III gets here and I strap it onto my 9800XT to crank her past 442/810.

I can hardly wait. ;) :D

I might be giving her a little h2O later in the fall or something but by then I'll have my nv40/r420 and I'll most likely be trying to recover from the $700 laydown I'll be making. ;)

Hey, 2Fresh, how did you memory overclock change with those 'sinks on there? I believe that the stock cooling plates are hurting my memory overclocks more then they're helping it, due to the design and teh fact that it's teh same skinny little plate "cooling" all the chips. Let alone the thin little plate on front of the card that's being heated up by teh core to boot.

got any before and after numbers? I'm throwin' the Giant III on my 9800XT this week and I'm wondering what kind of gains I'm gonna see across the board.....I'm very excited, especially with stock clocks of 442/810 already a possibility.

Corny remember to place an 80 mm or a better fan aimed directly on the back plate of Giant III instead of that POS blower fan!

Heh, I've got the blower on their right now.....and what a bitch of a fan.....highest pitch thing I've ever heard, and I'm not joking. I will give it credit for one thing though, it does get some good ventilation through the "inside" of the Giant III to help the ram out a little. I would like to still put my 120mm aluminum 85cfm fan on the side panel to blow on the Giant and get rid of that blower though.....

Yeah, that's about the best way you can describe it when thr blower's on and everything's going full tilt. ;)

I've got the Reverflow fan on low speed with the blower hooked up to my Hardcano12 though so I'm doin' alright.

so what, if any, improvements did you see over the stock XT cooling.. eh corny?

Yeah, I did. It doesn't help that I got my XT right when they hit Canadian shops, 'cus it has never been the best overclocker. I used ATITool to test the card, letting it first find the max core (and making sure it can maintain it for 10 minutes), and then leaving the core overclocked and doing the memory. With stock cooling my max, artifact free overclock on the core was a paltry 420MHz.....and the memory was between 790 and 800.

Now, I am able to hit 441/790 artifact free. The funny thing with the Giant III is the ramsinks it comes with.....they aren't big enough. Being BGA ramsinks they dont even cover the entire chip.....leaving my memory to heat up more then it should.

Considering my card has never overclocked a whole lot I'm fairly happy with a 21MHz increase on the core, and the memory can/will be up to par once I get some proper ramsinks.....ones that actually fit the card.

But.....I digress. ;) :p

Just installed a better looking cooling solution on my Albatron GF4 Ti4600 :D

HSF and RAMsinks (8) are a set and i have em from eBay Germany ... dunno if they are available in the US ...
