I remember seeing the post on the "show your LCD setup" sticky thread. I looked up the price and it was around 4500 - 5000 dollars for the Sharp 37" 1080P ... this was summer of 05 or spring pehaps.
They've had a 1080P model for sometime, just .. very expensive and cutting edge.
UPDATE: Try page 22 of that thread. Several pics of his Shap 1080P 37" LCD. From March 2005.

asmielia said:The 26" and 32" won't be 1080p. They'll have 2 versions of the 37", one of those will be 1080p. It won't be cheap. Probably better off just going for a Westinghouse now. The 45" is still gonna retail for over $4k.
