Ever since I got ShadowPlay, I've been recording a LOT of clips. Mostly for my personal collection, but I tend to post some funny clips online.

I thought I'd start a thread where we could share some Battlefield moments. I've started a similar thread on PC Gamer, but seems like no one really plays Battlefield on there, or they don't care to capture gameplay.

Anyway, share some clips if you happen to have any. I typically only post like 20-30 seconds of raw footage. I am not into video editing, and I am not a YouTuber.

So here is my first clips. This might make someone here go back and play Bad Company 2.

Basically, I was very new to the game, and I was trying to knife the enemy, and I forgot what key it was, and I failed pretty badly. I recovered towards the end though :p

Sitting on tech support to try and get the pile of Shit to work

@WildAce - man are you a pro player or something? I watched those clips and they are pretty awesome. I loved the RPG clips the most.

Also, the jet gameplay in BF2, I feel sorry for those infantry guys...more often than not, I am that infantry guy who gets killed. It makes me glad that in BF4, the OP AA exists! I do think that they should tweak the AA, but it is such a good thing to have for the infantry. Even in BF3, there were a lot of times I felt defenseless because of jets totally dominating the match.

@WildAce - man are you a pro player or something? .

i was pretty close to being pro, in 2006 Directv paid for my team to go to San Francisco all expenses paid for a directv televised event for BF2, where we got second place and $10k.

i have not competed in leagues since then tho, and just pub it up. i played the BF series competitive from bf1942 to BF2.

i have some where around 8000 hours played in the BF series.

but you can kinda see how that changed with BF3, where i only have 170 or so hours with that game.

atleast i am enjoying BF4 a bit, at around 260 hours now.

but the jets still are not fun for me like they were in BF2, and it has nothing to do with the AA, i just dont like how they feel or their weapon systems. i liked having dumb bombs, i dont need laser guided or tv guided shit and the aiming system with JDAMS is dumb.

AEM, Army of the Epileptic Monkeys.

during BFV we merged with Team Warchild and i generally put the warchild tags on still to this day in most mp games i play.

Warchild. Ya'll had great teamwork. I was in Virus back then. spacemanspliff

I like BF1942, but I cannot get into it the way I can get into BF4. I see how PC centric the title was. The interface is clearly made for the PC, and there are times when I think that interface is better than the BF3 interface :p

That being said, I am really enjoying BF4, and I believe it is the best MP shooter we have at the moment.

Now, for some sharing of BF clips, here is something that happened yesterday:

http://youtu.be/vHQW6QkIqMk

Its not as awesome as some of the other clips out there, but its probably my most "awesome" SRAW kill :p

I emptied a clip into the back of a guy.

He turned around and one shot me.

This is not a repeat of 1942, 2, Vietnam....

The good old days of BF1942 were amazing. Had some great matches against 20id, Demise, Warchild, etc.. I actually have been playing here and there over the last week. I couldn't believe they still had servers with people. Haven't been able to dig up any old videos. Just too many formats. I wish we would have had twitch back then. Some of those matches were insane. I would of like to had footage of Knives & Goldeneye in action as well.

bf1942 was awesome... i remember crashing an AC130 with my full team in it IN a match. We lost all the spawn points and was flying when they all spawned on my , It got all laggy and i destroyed my whole team.

JustinSane know about this.

Favorite BF1942 moment was blowing a B-17 out of the sky with a tank gun. Just pure luck, as he was flying way too low, and i was going up a hill (the only way to get enough elevation on the main gun). Took a snap shot, and boom! No more bomber. Ah memories.

and people wonder why the AC130 is no longer pilot-able

That was pretty nice. Interesting choice of accessories too. I have not used the IR scope a lot in BF4. I should try that on Guilin Peaks. It seems like something that might come in handy at D flag.

Also, MG4 is one hell of an LMG. I used M249 quite a bit, but once I unlocked the MG4, I never went back to it.

So here my clip for the day:

My friend I were playing on Flood Zone, and we came across a sniper nest. What happened next is pure madness :p

The enemy team was in for a surprise party for sure!

HAHA that's hella fun when you come upon moments like that! I had a tank driver that put us in a similar kinda situation on a plateau over the main base on Silk Road. We laid waste is all I can really say. Funny part is they really had no idea where all the death and destruction were coming from.

The games a lot of fun but some people are just maddeningly good/accurate. The network smoothing thing is a toss up it seems but I did move it to like 80% and noticed a immediate improvement in my K/D ratio if that even matters. Either way, spray and pray works for late of twitch fiber i don't seem to posses most days.

Cheers,
rj

Funny I used to play for all those teams :p

Not too too long ago I fired up '42 for the first time in years and flew around for a little while. It REALLY made me miss my MS Sidewinder joystick... The Logitech 3D is a piece of shit in comparison.

That's interesting. I have my smoothing factor set to zero. I should probably fiddle with it a little bit.

Here is a clip from last year. I was playing Conquest on Damavan Peak. I saw an enemy behind cover, and I charged at him. I'll let you guys watch the rest :p

I did not think I was going to make it out of that alive!

Got a minigun kill on a Chinese jet in a Little Bird once. Wish I had a video of that. I might even leave in the part where I plugged him with two missiles a minute earlier on his first pass.

Do you use an AMD card? If you have an Nvidia card, I suggest you give ShadowPlay a try. Its pretty good.

Here is another clip. This happened a while ago on Zavod 311. I was casually shooting at a chopper, and I managed to take it down. I wasn't even really tying :p Strange how when I try, I don't get them, but when I am goofing around, I managed to get the hit.

One of the most memorable BF moments was on dragon valley, when i was in a f35. I saw the Chinese version of the fav sitting on top of a hill. and i skimmed right over the top of it and bounced my f35 down onto the top if it crushing the gunner. i really wish i had recorded that.

Never had much respect for the high scoring commanders. since a lot of them just sat on clan servers and wouldnt let any one else be commander. and in my opinion that's stat padding.

( but to answer your question ya the name seems to be familiar)

You guys with nvidia cards need to start using shadowplay!

I would love to see gameplay clips from other players. I always find it entertaining, and it could teach a thing or two as well.

I miss Bf2 so much. Towards the end of my time I got to a point that I would just run around with the defibrillators 90% of the time. haha. People would get so pissed if you shocked the hell out of them.

In BF2, I remember an amazing battle I had as an anti-tank on a tower with a support teammate. I was well-and-truly behind the enemy front and I took one of the best flags by sheer surprise. As soon as the flag turned white, I heard an attack helicopter closing in ready to kill my buddy and I. We quickly ducked into cover, away from the still-neutral flag, the helicopter landed and began to take back the flag for the enemy. I shot off a cheeky AT missile and landed a good hit, must have surprised the hell out of the pilot, because he nearly chrashed taking off. My buddy and I went back, tried to take back the flag, but our team had gotten the idea and swooped in to claim the territory. My 2-man squad decided to protect the flag up in a tower and play rocket-sniper. Things led to things and a bunch of pissed off enemy troops tried to take the territory back, but my bud and I managed to rain hell in the form of missiles and SAW fire and kill 'em all; not before they neutralized the control point. My friend dropped a supply pack and chuted down to the control point to take it back, but the damn Helicopter came back, with a fury of missiles and blew my friend off the map. I proceeded to have an epic boss-battle style skirmish with the helicopter, with myself trapped in the cell tower with only my AT rockets to take it down. After a heart-pounding load of missiles and rockets, blood and tears, jumping over missiles and shooting my own at a helicopter close enough to kiss, I was victorious. I chutes down, took the control point, and proceeded to be suicide C4'd by a SF in a buggy.

I wonder if any 24/7 Warlord w/ no vehicles servers still exist and populated with real players these days. At least average 16 total would be fun.
