I am trying to setup a pfSense vm to simulate what we have going at one of our datacenters and having no luck (I am pretty new at this networking stuff).

I want to set it up this way:
WAN -> pfSense (10.150.5.8/29 to internal) -> pfSense WAN assigned to the /29, internal lan as dhcp

The problem I am having when I put a machine behind the first pfSense is I don't get an internet connection and I can't connect to the pfsense admin page.

the windows box I am testing with I am giving the following setup:
IP 10.150.5.10, 255.255.255.248 gateway & dns 10.150.5.8 (the pfsense ip).

Any ideas what I am doing wrong? the /29 should be 6 ip addresse correct?

You assigned the pfSense box the network address for your subnet, which is unusable by a host. The usable range for that subnet is 10.150.5.9-14.

Yesh, you're using the network ID for that subnet as your PFSense IP. Change it to .9.
