Set Windows Mail not to show "new messages" in certain folders?

I've got my Windows Mail set up to automatically filter my newsletters to specific folders, and honestly, I rarely read them unless I need something from the site they're from, but I still get the "NEW MESSAGE!" notification when they come in. Is there a way to set the program so it ignores "new messages" or auto-marks them as read in specific folders?
