My roomate has a Server 2003 box setup and we're hosting a streaming media server off of it but it only appears to support .wmv files by default, is there any way to expand this to support other formats like avi?
With the amount of information given- there isn't much to say.
Having zero idea how you are doing this, Server can care less what is on its hard drive- if a client requests it- a client gets it. Doesn't matter what file format it is.
The streaming media service running is the one built into the OS by default in which you specify a playlist to stream on-demand. As it stands only .wmv files can be added to this playlist.
