The crew at PC Perspective has put together an article that explores how Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope scales with dual AMD RX 480s now that LiquidVR Affinity Multi-GPU rendering support has been added to the game.

It's not perfect scaling, but the benefits of multi-GPU for VR, when properly implemented, are obvious. As more games and experiences are released that require higher compute capability or have in-game settings that allow for better image quality, the ability to scale across GPUs will be a welcome addition to the ecosystem.

You can see our original Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope VR performance review here and the follow-up article with our thoughts on LiquidVR Affinity Multi-GPU rendering support here.

That's the thing I've always thought: with two unique rendering ports, VR almost BEGS for multi-GPU. I hope more developers heed the call.

You can't run through the levels? I thought that was a main part of SS. It is on the couple of games I have.

I guess they changed the dynamics since all that running would wear you out.

moreso that Roomcale VR usually only gives you about 10 square meters to play in at MOST.

So there is no open world exploration games? No way to use some type of ASDW controls for moving far way?

The issue is that MOST people get sick to their stomach when using digital WASD controls (or even joystick movement). There are ways around it, but none for the mainstream. MOST VR games are going to be limited movement.

    Does that include racing/flight sims?

I've heard anecdotal stories here and there , so its possible. I think the effects are much more subdued if the player is seated.

I hope so. It has been my dream for a full on VR flight-sim.

I have read that having something stationary relative to you ingame helps with the motion sickness. For example the beams of a car or space ship.

Does this site only do VR reviews anymore? What's happened to this site?

The floaty guns and limitations on movement makes this game CRAP.

No mention of games in your post.

You didn't even say VR games.

This isn't a game review site as far as I know. It is a HARDWARE review site that sometimes uses games to measure performance.

Now Kyle has gotten involved in the VR side of things which includes the hardware and the games. But it is mostly about the hardware.

    Enjoy!

Right, I understand where you are coming from. Some people might be curious how their "HARDWARE" will run on newer games, not a review of the game itself. Not trying to be a pain. Just seems we used to get them and they dropped off. I enjoy how thorough things are explained here at the [H], just seem to be missing them lately.

A lot of that depends on games being released.

Also, if you would like to be more specific about what you are actually wanting, I would love to hear it.
