Serious Question - GPU Driving 3 30" Displays

Guys,

I really need to know if I just get 2 GTX 480's and put them in SLi if that will drive my 3 Dell 3007 30" WFP monitors. I really don't want to do 3 480's right now but 2 I could swing.

Will it work?

OR..... Can I do maybe 1 5970 2GB card and drive 3 of them.

Please help I really need to know.

You're going to want as much as you can throw at this, 2 will work but don't expect at lot of high settings, heck don't expect it with even three.

yes 2x 480's will (with nv suround even) or a single Radeon 5xxx series will (of course the bigger the better)

It will take alot of juice to make run a 7680x1600 display for gaming, but as stated above nothing is going to be "great" but either one of your afore mentioned ideals would work.

How about a 4GB Sapphire 5970 Toxic?

I'm figureing ok its expensive but its got a smaller footprint than 2 or 3 gpus in my case. I could cool this better and maybe in the future add another before I watercool.

What do you think?

Dude...just ordered the 3rd Dell today along with my 2 GTX 480's gimme a break LOL... as soon as I get everything hooked up - hopefully this weekend

I'll keep you all posted I'm sure....spent some coin this week baby! LOL
