I bought a seagate 600 pro 240gb on sale for my AMD athlon64 5000+BE system It is sata2,.
This is my first time with a ssd on an older system.
The overall speed of the system is vastly improved over the hard drive that was in there.
os is windows 8.1 update1 clean install.
AV was disabled for the test.

The weird thing is the write speeds are higher in crystaldiskmark than the read speeds in everything but seq.
seq: 227 read 209 write
512k 166.6 read 208.6 write
4k 22.27 read 44.27 write
4kqd32 26.44 read 68.09 write.

Any idea what is going on?

I have one of the 120GB models of that line and the benchmark graphs are the strangest I've ever seen on a drive - all over the shop. It seems to perform really well in real life, though, and I never did get a satisfactory explanation as to the oddities.

thanks I am just not going to worry about it.
The overall system speed improvement is great.
