Possibly shorter warranty vs retail SATA version (depending on where you buy). Seagate only makes 1 4TB drive right now so I would expect it is the same mechanism.
 
wow, if i knew, i would have jump on it, just for the cheap price. >_<

I own 4 of these, they are the only one made, and yes, i do open it. because once they pass the burn in test, I will like pass the 1 year mark anyhow.
 
Tiger Direct email those of us who purchased and offered a 3TB drive for $119 instead. No thanks.
