SD 2gb Cards

I purchased a 2gb Lexar SD card. Turns out, after buying it I learned that it doesn't work with all readers.

Are most 2gb cards like this, or did I just get the shaft??

Is there anything I can do to correct the problem
The reader I am talking about is the Toshiba SD Controller Type-A on my laptop (M205-S810, Protege Tablet PC)

had the same issue on my v2000 compaq, the card reader showed my 2gb as 1gb, until i updated the drivers with a windows update

You can update the drivers or firmware if you are lucky. Most of the time though, you have to buy a new reader...

The reader is integrated into my laptop so upgrading it to a newer one isnt really a feasable option..

Then you are screwed. Buy an external reader.
