Saving Streaming Video

Can anyone share how they save streaming video to their pc. Mainly Windows media streams. thx.

right click the page and do view source, look for a url containing a file extension like .mpg, .avi or any other movie file format. then copy and paste tat url into your browser or word and do save target as

For QT and mpeg/avi, you should be able to fish them out of the temporary internet files folder. Later versions of QT make it harder to find them, but it's still doable (can't remember exactly how right now.)

For asf/wmv streams, I used to use asfrecorder waaaay back in the day (2001/2002) Not sure if it still works with newer streams though. There's also newer versions of it, asfrecorder plus here
