"save password" in mce on network connection?

this topic might belong in operating systems, but i figure you guys have the most experience with mce. all of my media is on another computer on my network and so i use a mapped drive to simplify things. every time i reboot my computer, i have to type in the password for the other drive because media center doesn't seem to have that nifty little option to "save password". my other xp pro machines have it but not the mce2005 box. what gives, and is there a registry key i can change to enable the save password checkbox?

I don't have an answer, but why not enable guest access on the server?

i know i could do this, i just didn't think i'd need to reduce security on my main system to accomodate the mce machine
