I just built my new computer (details in sig). For the past day I've been running into problems with BSODs and my SSD not being recognized by my motherboard. My SSD is an old Kingston ssdnow V100, which I believe is a sata2 drive. I understand that some sata2 drives have compatibility issues with the new z87 mobos and read that one guy solved his problem by plugging his SSD in the asmedia sata port. I went ahead and did the same thing and will be testing the stability of it but I was wondering if there are any major downsides to using the asmedia port.
btw, I have my OS installed on this SSD.
