Hi, normally i'd try google but couldnt find much about this card specifically
I'm thinking of switching over to PCI-E from AGP
and was wondering if this card is still decent, it only has 256RAM as opposed to 512MB which seems standard on most x1800xt's.

More specifically how would it stack up against the AGP powerhouses (7800gs, x850xtpe)

Would I see a significant improvment.

Why this specific card?

Anyways, it would rape anything that is normally offered on AGP.

The X1800XT of course is a lot stronger than 7800GS and the X850XT. It is the 7800GTX's original competitor.

I picked it up when they were on newegg for 200 bucks (with free shirt!) and I'm loving it. It's my first PCI-E card, and it was definately worth the hassle of getting a new board for. However, be advised that the cooler is HORRID, I had to pick up an accelero x2 because the noise and temperature levels were atrocious.

I also picked up the 1800xt 256 for 200 and was in love with it. Then I got a hella deal on a open box 512 from Newegg for 199. The cooler on both(same) did indeed suck. Got a couple of Zalman vf900s. Couldn't be happier. I did however RMA the 256 Sapphire cuz it quit on me. But got an bbATI back. :p
