Well, You can watch stuff on Youtube that's 1080p60fps and I never thought it looked like a soap opera. I'm guessing you mean the overbright, slightly out of focus look? I don't see how the framerate would have anything to do with that. You could have a 60fps Soap opera and it would look just like the 30fps soap opera....
