Oh yeah, I forgot about that. It needs to be 3840x2160 (not sure if that was a typo euskalzabe )
Can someone take a picture of what a 'passing' result of this photo looks like on a proper 4:4:4 display?

So Streiw, did you ever figure out what was going on with your color mode on the RX 480? Did you manage to get 4:4:4 working?
What kind of Juice are you guys running on this TV? 1080s?
Input Lag?
how far away do you sit, I think I am probably 3ft.
Anyone play high reaction games like League of Legends on this thing?
Also, can I game at 1080P and it look ok?
I did do the brown fox test with 4:4:4 and can confirm that the last two lines and everything looked fine. You can only do that on HDMI 1, and I have my PC on HDMI 2 now and I don't feel up to redoing all my settings just to take a picture. But it works.Would somebody please be willing to take some close up pics of text @ 4:4:4 chroma with normall 100% DPI scaling, also would like to see the quick brown fox text close up
I'm using a Titan XP now, which most people think is overkill but is almost needed for certain games (like the new Deus Ex for example). Previously I was using a 970 and could actually get some older or lower-end games to run at 4K60. The new Battlefield is pretty well optimized and I'm getting around 90FPS at 4K Ultra settings. I bet a GTX 1080 would be able to max it at 4K.What kind of Juice are you guys running on this TV?
Hi,
Been following this thread, waiting for black friday sale to purchase this tv
The only thing bugging me is nobody posted any close up pictures of text
Would somebody please be willing to take some close up pics of text @ 4:4:4 chroma with normall 100% DPI scaling, also would like to see the quick brown fox text close up
This would help a lot
Thanks in advance!
Thanks so much for that! looks really good, for the price I think ill take the chance and live with the ghosting problem i am hearing about when scrolling webpages
Indeed. Go to Costco Black Friday deals page, click on "Starts November 18" and there is a Samsung 40” 4K TV a little bit down the page for $289.99. Model isn't listed but by the picture definitely seems to be KU6300 or KU6290.
I just picked up the 6290 from my local Costco for $290. Ad says that it is OOS but they had 8 or 9 when I grabbed mine.
Yep it's a great screen. Apparently it uses PWM dimming for backlight level below 12 so be aware of that if you are sensitive to the subtle flicker that will induce. I had to return mine because I was just sitting too damn close to that enormous screen (at 1m). Good for gaming, not so much for productivity.6290 does come with the Smart Remote and the build quality is great. I can't get over how great this display is for the price.
Tell me how to get into that menu and I will give it a shot.
Is it 12 out of 100? How bright is the backlight lvl at around 12?Yep it's a great screen. About 1080p upscaling:
How is 1080p gaming on KU6300/6290? I've read it softens the image, but how bad it is vs a similar sized TV with native 1080p resolution, sitting at close range (35" or so)? Currently i'm gaming on a 1080p 32" Sony TV at about 25 inch away from it and i'm fine with the image, though it could be a bit more sharper.
Also, does the 1080p->4k upscaling introduces any notable input lag on this model? I have a nvidia video card, should i let it do the upscaling, or the TV?
Thanks!
On the monitor/tv I have it set to PC on hdmi 1 with UHD color enabled from the Expert Picture settings.
