Ok, I finally figured out how to get replacement glasses. Don't go by the model number on the glasses themselves (SSG-3100GB), it is wrong. The right number is on a sticker on the glasses box: SSG-M3150GB. These are the only glasses that will work properly with these monitors. Believe me, I have tried 3 different glasses models made for Samsung TV's (including the SSG-3100GB) and they all kinda work, but not really. You have to tilt your head 45 degrees to the left for them to work properly - no kidding. If you don't tilt your head you lose a lot of brightness and contrast. Seems to be a problem relating to how the polarization angle of the glasses is aligned relative to the polarization angle of the monitor LCD. AFAIK you can *only* get the SSG-M3150GB directly from Samsungparts.com.
You are talking about the yellow sticker on the box? Mine says SSG-3100GB on the yellow sticker. SSG-M3150GB was never formally released AFAIK. Originally these monitors were supposed to come with rechargeable glasses, and then they came out with the cheapy battery ones instead. Samsung tell me there is no difference between the SSG-3100GB provided with the monitor and those for the TV other than being branded Syncmaster on the glasses themselves! So your experience is really concerning!
