I just ran across this article and found it interesting.

I wouldn't even bat an eye at this for gaming. This is purely for my virtual machines on the go. If I could load four of these in one of my DTR's and get 128GB of RAM in a laptop, that would be sweet.

Check the CPU (and BIOS) support first. Even if it supports 16g chips, it could be limited to 64GB.
