Samsung On5 inaccurate touch screen

The touchscreen on my On5 is very inaccurate. I didn't realize how off it really was until I played with my buddies phone for awhile. Is there some sort of touch calibration that's possible, or a common method of fixing this type of problems? Is that what the digitizer part thing does? I'm a phone noob and don't know how I should proceed to fix it. I miss 50% of the time I aim to click a weblink.
 
I don't think theres any way of increasing responsiveness on the screen. It is the digitizer that handles touch.
Have you a screen protector on it by any chance
?

Nope I've never had a screen protector on it and I think it's acted this was since I first got it in 2015.
