In the past I was happy with the T166 HD501LJ. Now I tried the F1 series.
I was able to get a "proper" read rate:

At least this is the actual read graph, not some quick scan or pretty-printed version.
Please note that my website is completely out of date regarding the harddisk listings.
The write graph (not included) looks very jagged, and is about 15-10MB/s below the read for about 2/3 of the media. While the total average read is 87MB/s, the average write is 76MB/s. I am wondering whether this is "normal" or if it is a limitiation of my board/host. It looks the same with onboard ICH6R SATA-I and eSATA PCIe x1 card. I'll do more tests woth other add-on cards...
BTW: The onboard SiI3114R hangs with the F1 connected, did not try the SATA-I fix for the disk, yet. Did anyone use the fix, or even try to update the onboard SiI3114R?
