I do HD and 4K video editing as well as photo and design work. The hardware in my current desktop that I built is aging and I'm going replace it with a HP Z820, running Windows 10. I will probably setup 3x 2tb or 4tb HDDs in Raid 0 for current projects internally.
As for the SSD for Windows 10 and software, I'm trying to decide between the Samsung 480GB SM863a / PM863a (more ideal for an OS as it's for read-intensive uses, right?) and the 512gb 860 Pro.
The SM863a / PM863a have ECC which I think would be ideal in a workstation with existing enterprise grade hardware. There isn't a huge difference in prices so which option would be ideal?
