Samsung 840 500 GB + Far Cry 3 $328 AC.

Not too bad. I remember this SSD went for $300 on Black Fri., but I don't know if it came w/ FC3.
 
Very sweet price, in for one, maybe two. Even w/o the game this is a pretty good deal. It's a solid performing drive that tops current ssd capacity. The performance isn't chart topping vs an 830 or even Vertex 4, but still, it's a 500GB ssd! I'll prolly just buy one for now. Hopefully between now and summer, prices will drop closer to $200.

Oh yeah, and the free game is cool, too if that matters to you. Fora buzz is pretty good a' la Crysis' freedom of engagement.
 
does the farcry 3 work for steam? or is it some other d2p or something version
 
Not sure yet. Was about to order from Newegg, but $314 from B&H is an even better deal. Might wait to see if Amazon price matches with the game included.

edit: decided to keep the budget in check till it's closer to payday. Plus, this ars article seemed like a perfectly timed omen crying out, "patience". Hopefully we see these for under $300 by the end of January.
