I am in the market for a gaming laptop and im looking into the Sager brand. Problem is there are so many to choose from I do not know which one is best. My budget is $1500. Looking for 15.6 inch screen and GTX 770m. I looked at the NP8235, NP8255 and NP8265. Just dont know what the difference is. Can anyone help?

Here are the basic differences:

The 8235/p151sm and 8265/p150sm are the "business-looking" models, essentially the same chassis as the previous gen p150em. The p151sm can only support up to the 770m due to the smaller 120w power adapter (and perhaps less robust cooling, not sure); the p150Sm can support all the way up to the 780m.

The 8255/p157sm is the "gaming" model. It's essentially the same chassis as the p150sm, but has a different trackpad keys and backlighting.

Apart from the GPU and $900, top-end 4930mx (who buys these things?), all the models can be configured with the same hardware.

I'd say go with the p150sm or p157sm (of the two, I prefer the less-gaudy p150sm) if you intend on upgrading the GPU to a 780m (or 8970m) when buying or at some point in the future, or get the p151sm if you just plan on sticking with the 770m. If I was you, with $1500 I'd go for the p150sm with an 8970m: the 8970m is about 25-30% faster than the base 770m and is only $100 more.

On a side note, the p150xx models are great little machines (I owned a p150hm and loved it) -- it's amazing how much horsepower it can bring to bear.

The NP823X will be the more value and does not have the backlit keyboard and less beefy power circuitry inside and in the brick.

The 5 at the end also denotes the new revision officially supporting both mSATA slots.

Thank you so much!

The enduro issues are a lot less than they used to be, but even with them it can still go toe to toe with the 770M at least.
